Restaurants Near The Museum of Modern Art
MoMA sits in a restaurant-dense part of Midtown, so the useful question is not whether food exists nearby but how much time and formality you want after the galleries. These options stay within about 0.20 miles of the museum.

Decide whether lunch is part of the museum visit or the next event
MoMA is surrounded by restaurants, but a museum day can leave you with very different needs. Sometimes you want a fast meal before the next Midtown stop; sometimes the meal is the reward after several hours in the galleries. A useful shortlist needs both.
The options below all sit within 0.20 miles in a straight line from the museum. That keeps the list centered on West 53rd Street instead of expanding into Times Square, Central Park South or the entire Rockefeller Center dining scene.
The Modern is the obvious museum-connected choice
The Modern is adjacent to MoMA and makes sense when the restaurant is intentionally part of the day. It is not the choice for a rushed thirty-minute break. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Dos Toros and other quick options nearby are useful when you need food without turning the schedule into another reservation.
West 52nd–56th Streets give you the most flexibility
Blue Willow, PizzArte, Fogo de Chão, Osteria La Baia and La Grande Boucherie all stay within a short walk while offering very different formats. The right choice depends more on group size, time and appetite than on a universal ranking.
Keep the next destination in mind
If Fifth Avenue or Rockefeller Center is next, favor the east side of the museum. If Broadway or Times Square is next, a restaurant farther west can prevent backtracking. Midtown density makes geographic discipline more useful than adding another ten highly rated restaurants to the list.
Editor-selected options
Distance is calculated from the landmark coordinates, not from a broad Midtown or neighborhood label. Walking routes may differ.
