The Westbeth Artists Housing and Center for the Arts, nestled in the heart of New York's West Village, is a unique space dedicated to fostering creativity and collaboration. Established in 1970, it was the first artists' live/work community in the United States. Today, it continues to provide affordable housing and studio space for artists, as well as facilities for rehearsals, exhibitions, and performances.
Spanning an entire city block at 463 West Street, this historic complex offers a diverse range of services, including 380 live/work lofts, 200 studios, and numerous shared spaces such as a theater, a gallery, and a courtyard.
