SkillCat

SkillCat is a mobile-first training platform for people seeking entry into skilled technical trades or building on experience they already have. Its courses concentrate on practical occupations such as HVAC, electrical work, property maintenance, plumbing and appliance repair. Students can use their phones to work through self-paced lessons, simulations and assessments rather than relying entirely on a classroom timetable.

One of the platform's better-known offerings is preparation for the EPA Section 608 certification required for certain work with refrigerants. SkillCat also publishes career-launch programs and short courses addressing technical fundamentals. Learners should distinguish course completion certificates from licenses or certifications that require an examination or other legal conditions. Its online subscription and credentialing terms can change, so current pricing and eligibility should be checked before enrollment. SkillCat is a digital training service, not simply a Manhattan recruitment office despite the category shown in some older directories. The official SkillCat course catalog explains its training formats and how to get started.
