A shared‐bench makerspace in upper Manhattan—the Skill Mill NYC—turns raw ideas into physical objects. Customer work spans woodworking, metal fabrication, 3-D printing, laser cutting, PCB assembly, and basic welding; machines sit side by side on Amsterdam Avenue.

The building sits on 949 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, sandwiched between brownstones and the 102nd-Street subway stairs. Under one roof you’ll find small lathes, a vertical mill, a four-by-eight CNC router, and a bank of Formlabs printers. Bring the file, leave with the part; membership also grants after-hours access when the streetlights flicker on.
