Like other manufacturers in the outer-borough industrial corridor, quality is non-negotiable here. Turning, milling, grinding, gear cutting, heat treating, and CMM inspection cover the everyday needs of local machine shops and larger OEMs. A single run or a short prototype batch can be completed with little advance notice, and the in-house lab keeps each step traceable from raw stock to final inspection report.

The shop occupies a stand-alone building at 112-07 14th Avenue in College Point, occupying roughly 7,000 sq ft of climate-controlled space. Trucking never has to fight city traffic for drop-off or pickup thanks to the proximity of the Whitestone Expressway and the College Point industrial strip. Across the street, smaller fabricators and anodizers share loading docks waiting for parts that need no extra finishing elsewhere.

Using CAD/CAM software and multi-axis mills, lathes, and gear cutters, Precision Gear specializes in custom splines, timing-belt pulleys, and helical gears for robotics prototypes. Custom tooling, fixtures, and non-standard involute splines are also common requests. Because the facility keeps its own inspection lab—calibrated annually—certified reports accompany every shipment without outside delays.
