Electrical Engineering Teaching Laboratory
About
Laboratories anchor much of the city’s applied research, and the Electrical Engineering Teaching Laboratory sits in that tradition. Morningside Heights houses the lab exactly where you’d expect—500 W 120th St #1310—near the buzz of the university and the calm of tree-lined blocks. It’s the kind of place where circuits are tested, systems are debugged, and the next generation of engineers gets its hands dirty.
Power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and microcontroller boards fill the benches here. Students prototype circuits, professors validate designs, and industry partners drop off prototypes for quick validation. The lab’s gear covers everything from basic analog labs to advanced embedded systems work. Bring your breadboard or your ARM-based board—if it’s got pins, they can check it.
To visit or to schedule a session, dial (212) 854-3105 and ask about access; student hours are posted at the door. When you’re ready, the map will guide you straight to the 13th floor. Doors open onto a corridor with views of the Hudson and the George Washington Bridge—perfect backdrop after a long session at the bench.
