East River Community Center

East River anchors daily life a block from the FDR. It serves that stretch of El Barrio and East Harlem between Pleasant and First. Quiet but not tucked away, the building hosts a hub where neighbors turn up for nearly anything communal.

Over the years its calendar has grown beyond bingo nights and flea markets, now leaning hard into adult education wings and small-group fitness added onto older arts programming.
