Anupama Kalyanam
About
Anupama Kalyanam practices social work two blocks west of Herald Square, where the constant foot traffic rolls past lunchtime food carts and package-laden delivery trucks. Neighborhood offices, hotels, and garment suppliers all share the block, creating an overlap of daily rhythms most aides can’t reach. At 19 West Thirty-fourth Street—inside the private residential tower—she offers support that isn’t tied to any single agency’s forms or hours. Counseling after domestic incidents sits next to immigration-status screenings, and advocacy letters are written on-site. Appointments also cover benefit-claim navigation, workplace-harassment consultation, and emergency food / shelter referrals—sometimes all within the same visit. Because paperwork deadlines don’t wait, last-minute printing and translation are available. Clients don’t need referrals, but group sessions take place every third Saturday. The PH suite is a 30-second stairwell from the F train mezzanine. Call (347) 921-0431 for same-day openings. Grab the directions and come straight up.
